Main Purpose and Accountability of the RoleWithin EPO Finance, you will be accountable within the Accounting Policy Group (APG).
Key Responsibilities- Providing technical accounting advice for all MUFG EMEA & International entities.
- Partnering with Front Office to advise on accounting implications and ensuring awareness of upcoming accounting changes.
- Advising on accounting policy for new products, deals, restructurings, and complex transactions.
- Providing training on accounting developments to front and back office teams.
- Engaging with external auditors on policy matters.
- Issuing new accounting policies under IFRS.
- Advising on accounting and classification for consolidation reporting under IFRS, UK, US, and Japanese GAAP.
- Reviewing disclosures and supporting Financial Reporting teams in preparing financial statements to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Representing the Group at industry groups to gain insights and share perspectives.
Additional responsibilities include involvement in ad-hoc projects as required.
Technical Capability- Providing technical advice across EMEA & International Business units based on relevant GAAP.
- Managing conflicting priorities and re-prioritizing work effectively.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, building effective relationships.
- Utilizing strong communication skills to engage with various clients and stakeholders.
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with stakeholders regionally and globally to share best practices, support, and develop policies aligned with the Group strategy.
