Technical Cluster Manager

Providing leadership, management, and development of the contract, ensuring financial, and operational commitments are met and exceeded. The role will require close liaison monthly with the client, the Helpdesk Manager, and internal senior managers. The operation should be Proactive and driven to achieve total customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring operational and fiscal plans are at least achieved.

- WorkcloselywiththeContractSupporttoensurethattheservicelevelsaremaintainedtoa consistently high level.
- Provide leadership, and ensuring the planned development of the contract, to ensure that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.
- SupporttheHelpdeskinachievinghighlevelsofcustomersatisfaction
- Ensureclientsatisfactionlevelsareataconstantlyhighlevel,leadingtodevelopmentofthe contract to increase the portfolio/contract responsibilities.
- Meetwithclientstoestablishsteadylinesofcommunicationandattendmonthlyclient meetings where required.
- Ensurethecontractmeetshealthyandsafetyworkingconditions.
- Ensuringbusinesspolicies andprocessesareeffectivelycommunicated, andimplemented within the contract.
- ProvideWeeklyFlashreportsforeachcontracttotheappropriateclientandinternal manager/s, where appropriate
- Workingwith SeniorManagement to ensure the collaborative development ofthe business, effective team working, and support to colleagues.
- ResponsibleforStatutory&Codecomplianceofsites.
- OverseePPMplanningschedulesforsites.
- EnsurePPMiscarriedoutinaccordancewithmanufacturer'sguidelinesandHVCASFG20.
- ResponsibleforthereturnofPPMandwork-relateddocumentation.

- ManManagement/TeamDevelopment.
- Ensure the contract is staffed by fully competent teams, taking direct responsibility for the appointment of Engineers, ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.

- Ensureallsiteshaveaccurateassetregistersandarelabelledaccordingly.
- Responsibleforthefastandeffectiveprocurementofmaterialsandservices.

- ProvideOperationalreportsmonthlyandasrequested.
- Ensureadditionalservicesandprojectsareadded,andcontractsarere-wononre-tender
- Proactivelysourceadditionalworksandraisequotations.
- Providetechnicalsupportwhererequiredtoengineers,helpdeskandclients.
- InvestigateandreportonmajorOperationalincidents.
- Ensureengineersarefullyequippedtocarryoutdailytasks,Carryouttoolinspections.
- Checktestingequipmentcalibration
- Ensure appropriate contract review, audit and control systems toensure statutory, policyand contractual commitments are met.
- Ensureuniformsarebeingwornandareingoodcondition.
- Carryoutmonthlysitereviews.
- Carryoutatleast2siteAuditsperContractperAnnum.
- Conductengineer'sappraisals.
- Ensureaneffectiveescalationprocedureisinplace.
- Ensureallcalloutsareattendedto,inconjunctionwiththe helpdesk.
- Ensuretoolboxtalksareconductedmonthly
- PromoteH&Scultureacrossthewholeteam
- Preparequotationsbysupplyingadministratorswithlaboursummaryandsupplier quotations for materials in order for quotations to be raised effectively.
- Attendoperationalmeetingsasrequired
- Ensureregularcommunicationwithengineeringteam.
- CarryoutmonthlyauditsonbothPPM&Reactiveworksandprovidemanagerwithreport.
- AuditLogbook-EnsureitisbeingusedcorrectlybybothEmployeesandsubcontractors
- Ensurecustomerservicelevelsaremaintained.
- PromotingandmaintainingthecoreValuesofBGIS.
- Ensureall3rdpartycontractshavebeencarriedout.
- Shareinitiativestoenhanceourserviceprovisionandrecommendationsforsystem infrastructure development.
- Reportingtothe GPE Operations Manager.
- WorkingcollaborativelyaspartoftheBGISteamacrossall Divisions.
- Thispostcarriesan element ofbudgetaryresponsibility.
- Directlinemanagerforthesiteengineeringteam.
Education A good general education is essential, ideally to degree standard but possibly to HND level.
Training Incumbentsmustbeabletodemonstrateacareershowingcontinuous personal development.Up to date technical knowledge of ACOP's, fire and environmental controlmeasures, buildingcontrolrequirements,andthe Healthand Safety at Work Act.
Experience
Essential
ManagerialexperienceatContractManagerorSeniorSupervisor levelwithinthehardservicesbusinessis essential. Practical experiencemust include recruitment and linemanagement/supervisory experience.
Desirable
Deliveryofwiderfacilitiesmanagementservices. Thedevelopmentandreviewofteams,appraisal,andthe application of effective people management practice.
