We have an interesting opportunity for someone who is keen to work in a dynamic, developing team for Rheumatology in North Cumbria. We are a countywide service with bases in Whitehaven and Carlisle, and this role will be fully supported by our medical secretaries to allow the successful candidate to develop their skill set. Previous experience would be useful but we can support the right candidate so please don't let that put you off.
Main duties of the jobThe main duties for this role include supporting all clinical staff in the service, ensuring timely communication with patients, relatives, other services in NCIC & partner organisations, acting as a hub for the service, maintaining records, spreadsheets and other documents as required by the team.

Person Specification Qualifications- GCSE English language (minimum C grade) or equivalent
- RSA 2 word processing or equivalent
- RSA 3 word processing or equivalent
- NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent
- Operating word processing and computer packages
- Audio typing / word processing
- Medical audio typing / word processing
- Requirements of the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Access to Health Records and Defensible Documentation, Health and Safety and their application in the workplace
