Job Task Analysis - City Development Leadership

The role will oversee and lead a large team of approximately 11 full time equivalent roles, while also supporting the City Development Department, Municipal Building Surveyors Department and City Strategy Department. The functions within these departments are varied and diverse and broad understanding of the legislative functions within each area is required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and highly motivated and organised person to join our team. In this role, you will support the City Development Department, Municipal Building Surveyors Department and City Strategy Department. Job Details
  • Work type: Full time permanent
  • Hybrid and other flexible working options available.
  • Salary: $110,488 - $123,778 per annum (dependent on experience) plus superannuation
  • Location: Cheltenham
Other Responsibilities include
  • Familiarity and ability to apply relevant legislative principles.
  • Assist the Manager in organisational reporting and budgeting obligations.
  • Adopt an approach to continuous service improvement, with a customer centric approach.
  • Effective management and mentoring of the team to ensure sound culture and work ethic.
What You'll Bring
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and well-justified decisions, both with autonomy and in collaboration with the Manager, other Team Leaders and broader team (as required), often as it relates to exercising a delegated function.
  • Ability to energise, motivate and nurture positive team culture.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a large multi-disciplinary team.
