Job overview

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring ownership of Housekeeping, Patient Catering, Estates Maintenance and Soft FM customer services for all patients, staff and visitors who attend the PICU.

To assist and support the PICU Operational Lead Nurse and the Band 7 PICU Procurement & Housekeeper manager in ensuring the delivery of a quality housekeeping service, achieving the highest possible standard of cleanliness and environment for patients, visitors and staff at all times.

Main duties of the job
  • Responsible for the clinical supervision of an effective and efficient housekeeping service that meets Trust policies, procedures and Housekeeping operational procedures.
  • Liaise with the nursing and housekeeping team regarding the patient's day, ensuring work is planned in a prioritised, patient focused and seamless manner.
  • Produce a duty roster approved by the Band 7 Procurement and Housekeeper manager.
Key information

Main area: Urgent & Critical Care - Grade NHS AfC: Band 3. Contract: Permanent. Hours: 37.5 per week (weekday and occasional weekend or night). Job ref: 284-26 DMUT.

Salary: £25,760 - £27,476 per annum. Site: Birmingham Children's Hospital, Town Birmingham.
