Qualifications and Experience

Qualification required: A full Degree in Social Care/Studies or a relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level (e.g., Social Work, Psychology) is essential, or a relevant qualification received outside the State recognised by NARIC equivalent to Irish level 8. Proof of successful registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker or proof of application in progress with CORU.

Skills and Abilities Required

• Two years of management experience with responsibility for a team of employees.
• Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector.
• Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to work alone in coordinating and managing developing services.
• Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP's.
• Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities.
• Delivers support according to the person's PCP and care plan.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Full, clean driver's licence essential.
