Job description

As a Team Leader for our Simulator Pilot teams your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team in their daily work, including supervising and coordinating the team's activities
  • Allocate resources, manage and produce the roster for all activities
  • Respond to the dynamic need for change to pilot assignment in response to short notices resource availability
  • Ensure pilot competence matches assigned courses
  • Liaise with the Remote Pilot Centre for remote assignment
  • Participate in recruitment process of new employees
  • Action annual leave requests
  • Review and action timesheets
  • Liaise with finance in relation to budgetary forecasts
  • Act as the focal point of contact for EPN HR department
Your team

You will be leading a team consisting of Simulator Pilots and Pilot Specialists who provide pseudo pilot services to Air Traffic Controllers who are training at our site in Shannon.

Your background

You are an engaging people leader who enjoys creating structure, supporting employee development and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

You may currently work in retail, hospitality, customer service, logistics, aviation, healthcare, security, contact centres or another operational environment where coordinating people and resources is a key part of your role.

To succeed in this position, you will likely have:

  • Experience leading a team of employees in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Experience with rostering, workforce scheduling or resource allocation
  • Confidence making decisions and adapting plans when priorities change
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • An ability to motivate, coach and develop team members
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Confidence working with a variety of IT systems and collaboration tools

Previous aviation or Air Traffic Services experience is not required. We will provide comprehensive onboarding and training to help you succeed in the role.

Employment will be subject to successfully passing Garda Vetting procedures.

The annual salary for this position is expected to be between EUR 42,000 and EUR 45,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
