We are looking for Teaching Managers to manage teaching teams in our University Campuses in Exeter, Guildford, Warwick, Portsmouth, Stirling, Uxbridge, and Richmond.
TeachingManagers are responsible for the overall smooth running of theEFL teaching programme at their ANGLO centre. The main role isto supervise and support a team of Academic Staff, ensuring thesafe operation of the academic programme for both students andstaff. An overview of the role follows:
- Manage and train theteaching team and provide ongoing support to staff
- Lead/participate inthe teaching induction process and CPD sessions
- Manage academicadministration such as registers and student reports
- Complete timesheetsfor teachers
- Make sure thestudents get the best possible learning experience
Depending on thesize of your centre, some of these tasks may be delegated to aWorkshops and Teaching Supervisor (WTS).
- Reporting to andliaising with the Programme Manager and Head Office
- Attending the TMs'Training webinar prior to the centre opening
- Administeringplacement tests where necessary
- Assigning teachers toclasses appropriately, considering their skills andexperience
- Attending meetings asrequired by Head Office and the Programme Manager
- Ensuring complianceof all teaching staff with ANGLO's academic programmes,policies and Code of Conduct
- Ensuring all teachingstaff have a knowledge of client profiles and needs
- Thorough monitoringof student attendance and ensuring ANGLO's attendanceprocedure is followed at all times
- Leading teachermeetings and addressing raised issues
- Supervising thecompletion of all legal and other necessary documentation suchas class registers, lesson plans, student profiles, weeklyacademic reports, and end of course feedback
- Overseeing thepreparation of Trinity GESE and furnishing Head Office with accurateinformation for Trinity registrations
- Leading inductionsessions and fortnightly CPD sessions
- Providing guidanceand advice to teaching staff
- Conducting formalclassroom observations, providing written feedback forteachers, and ensuring records are accurate and available toHead Office
- Organising theprinting of certificates, procuring resources for classroomsand teaching staff, and recording funds spent
- Organising acertificate ceremony at the completion of each course
- Reporting to theProgramme Manager any relevant incidents or complaintsincluding student or staff discipline
- Supervising deliveryof, and reacting to student online feedback in a timelyfashion
- Promotingprofessional dress code and behaviour and a team ethos,including punctuality, hygiene and appropriatecommunication
- Arranging teachercover and teaching classes where necessary
- Keeping an accurateinventory of all materials and ensuring unused items arereturned to Head Office at end of season
- Timely and accuratecompletion of electronic pay spreadsheets, after ensuring allstaff paper timesheets have been checked for accuracy

- You have the rightto work in the UK
- 3 years' experienceteaching under-18s
- Experienceconducting lesson observations and delivering CPD
- Advanced IT skills,including Excel, Google Drive and classroom technology
- Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to workunder pressure, strong work ethic and ability toimplement change
- Committed topersonal and the team's professional development
- Adaptable and flexible
- Managementexperience in a similar environment
- Experience inpreparing students for Trinity GESE

Bed & Board:
Residential position.Full bed and board is provided
Hours:
87.5 hours per 10-nightstudent programme (Exeter & Warwick)
93 hours per 14-nightstudent programme plus total 14 hours of additional admin hours(all other locations).
No overtime paymentunless agreed in advance with Head Office.
On some occasions wehave to offer 14-night 46.5 hour programmes, in which case hoursand remuneration are halved. We will always let you know if this happens.
