Overview

The role involves supporting pupils across KS1 to KS5, working with a variety of additional needs including autism/ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. You will work closely with teaching staff to promote engagement, independence and positive outcomes for every learner.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of additional needs across mainstream and specialist settings.
• Promote engagement, independence and positive outcomes for every learner.
• Work with teaching staff to implement tailored support plans.
• Manage classroom behaviour and foster a safe learning environment.
• Assist with safeguarding and welfare of children.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings.
• A passion for helping pupils with a range of additional needs achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A proactive, patient and flexible approach to supporting learning.
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
