Job Description

Crondall Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, warm and highly committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

We are a one-form entry Primary School in the heart of the beautiful village of Crondall on the Hampshire/Surrey border and have recently joined Weydon Multi Academy Trust.

The role of the Teaching Assistant is to support the teaching and learning of, working under the direction of the class teacher to deliver high-quality support in the classroom. The role will involve both group and one-to-one support.

The role also includes Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant and your duties will include preparing the hall for lunch, helping to clean and clear away at the end of lunch and supervising children in the hall, playground and other areas during the lunch break.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with young children and adults
  • Is able to enthuse and inspire children to learn
  • Has high expectations, a positive attitude and commitment to supporting children's learning and behaviour
  • Has a positive outlook and a good sense of humour
  • Is able to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Is willing to work 1:1 with children as required and in small groups

Please note the essential requirements for this post include:

  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to relate well to children, parents and staff
  • Experience is desirable but not essential

The contract is fixed-term until 16th July 2027 pending review of the school budget, but may be extended.

Working hours for this role are subject to negotiation based on the successful candidate.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent essential
