TEACHING ASSISTANT 2B

Job Summary

Lordsgate Township CE Primary School seeks a skilled Teaching Assistant (Level 2b). The successful candidate will support children with additional needs in a primary school classroom, working closely with the teaching team to foster social and emotional learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs across subject areas.
• Assist in implementing behaviour support and child centred approaches.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and parents to monitor pupils' progress.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant child care qualification.
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics.

Essential Experience

• Experience working with or caring for children in a primary school setting.

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• Experience delivering SEN support programmes, including speech, language and communication issues.
• Experience supporting children with social and emotional needs.
