Teaching Assistant - Wigan

Full-time & part-time roles available Immediate start & September 2026We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants of all levels (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4) to support a range of welcoming and supportive schools across Bolton and the surrounding areas. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping children and young people reach their full potential.Your new roleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and school staff to provide high-quality support across the classroom. Roles may include:

• Supporting whole-class learning
• Delivering small group interventions
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils, including those with SEND
• Assisting with classroom organisation and behaviour management
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

We have a variety of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements, and permanent positions.The ideal candidate:

• Has experience working with children or young people (school or similar setting)
• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, 2, 3 or 4 - desirable but not essential for some roles)
• Has experience supporting SEND pupils (desirable)
• Is patient, caring, and adaptable
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and proactive approach
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
