Teaching Assistant - Level 3 NVQ or equivalent

Grade 3 Scale point 5 pro rata (FTE - £25,583.00)

Term Time - Permanent Contract Up to 30 hours per week over five days

Required for September 2026

The governors at Hayes Meadow Primary School are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant with experience of working in Early Years and across the primary age range.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Communicate effectively, have a positive attitude and be able to work successfully as part of a team within the school.
  • Be calm, positive and able to use own initiative while working within school policies and under the guidance of line manager and other experienced / senior staff.
  • Have experience of working across the primary age range and have relevant knowledge of the curriculum.
  • Be able to plan and deliver intervention where required for pupils.
  • Understand the needs of or have experience working with children with SEND.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and positively with parents/ carers.
