Pay: £95.00 per day

About the Role

Working within Nursery or Reception, you will play an active role in creating a rich, inspiring learning environment where young children can explore, build confidence, and flourish. You will support whole-class continuous provision, lead small phonics and numeracy focus groups, and work closely with class teachers to track early milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting continuous provision and play-based learning across indoor and outdoor EYFS settings.
  • Leading small group interventions in Early Reading, Phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle), and basic Numeracy.
  • Assisting with observation, assessment, and recording pupil progress on early learning profiles.
  • Fostering independence, self-care skills, and personal, social, and emotional development (PSED).
  • Ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment for all early learners.
Who We're Looking For
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 childcare/teaching assistant qualification preferred (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Early Years).
  • Experience: Hands-on experience working within an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception) in a school or private nursery.
  • Knowledge: Sound understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and early literacy/phonics schemes.
  • Attributes: Energetic, warm, patient, and creative with a genuine passion for early childhood development.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for an immediate check).
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK with professional references covering the last two years.
  • Available for an immediate, full-time start.
