Are you passionate about promoting the Welsh language and inspiring young people through engaging and high-quality teaching? Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Welsh to join their supportive and forward thinking secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing pupils' confidence, fluency, and appreciation of Welsh language and culture.

As a Teacher of Welsh, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Welsh language lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable where applicable)
• Foster a love for the Welsh language, literature, and culture
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well managed classroom environment
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole school initiatives
• Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching Welsh in a secondary school setting
• Is passionate about promoting Welsh language and culture
• Has strong classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school

Appointment is subject to:

• Successful interview

• Safeguarding & Prevent training
• EWC registration in the appropriate categories
• DBS Enhanced Disclosure (chargeable at £64.20 unless subscribed to the Update Service)
• Successful completion of the 60 day paid trial period
