St Mark's Church of England School are seeking an exceptional Music Teacher to join our growing school. You should be able to inspire our students in line with our whole school Christian distinctiveness and ethos, helping them achieve excellence. About the Role- Be expected to plan and deliver lessons to the whole school to GCSE
- Teach and develop your chosen subject within the school in a professional way, ensuring the curriculum is progressive across the all through school
- Make a major contribution to the school and development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support assistants ensuring they are fully briefed on lesson plans and expectations to enable them to fully contribute to improving pupil outcomes
- Be accountable for implementing the school's Behaviour policy and play an active role in the day-to-day management of pupil behaviour and mental wellbeing.
- Has Qualified Teacher Status
- Has expert knowledge of legislation and guidance on curriculum requirements
- Understands high-quality teaching and learning strategies in the subject, and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Has knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
- Has knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
- A strong Christian ethos where love, service, and belonging are lived daily
- A supportive senior leadership team that values pastoral work
- A school community where pupils are known, valued, and listened to
