Role Summary

Teacher of Maths and English
Reference: SCCG3007 Closing Date: 19/04/2026 Interview Date: 27/04/2026
Salary: £28,328 - £46,914 per annum (incremental progression within band).
Contract Type: Permanent Hours per Week: Various Location: Across Various Sites.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational teachers with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. You will use your expertise, creativity and energy to design engaging lessons that motivate learners of all abilities, build confidence and support them to develop essential skills, make meaningful progress and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths or English lessons to learners aged 16.
  • Plan, teach and assess lessons, ensuring high quality resources and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Monitor learner progress, provide personalised feedback and support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive culture that places the learner at the heart of everything.
  • Engage with colleagues to enhance teaching quality across the department.
Qualifications
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths or English and a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a drive to make a real difference in learners' lives.
  • Enjoyable and engaging approach to teaching, able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Experience with assessment, planning, progress monitoring and personalised feedback.
