We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Information Technology to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and develop the next generation of IT and computing professionals. Industry experience would be an advantage.
We are looking for a well-qualified individual with a background in information technology or digital to teach across our IT and Digital programmes at levels 1, 2 and 3. The successful candidates will be required to teach across a range of topic areas including digital literacy, networking, cyber security, databases digital infrastructure.
Applicants must have a degree in IT, computing or related area. Many of our vocational staff have joined us from industry and made successful career moves into post 16 education.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering high quality, engaging lessons which develop the skills and attributes young people need to work in the IT and computing sector. They will be able to Develop students' practical skills through the use of software applications, operating systems, network technologies and collaborative digital tools. They will support students to understand how IT systems are applied in real-world settings, including technical support, cloud computing, business systems and data management environments. Their approach to teaching will develop students' problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills through practical and project-based activities.
The successful candidate will also be required to contribute to curriculum development, keeping up to date with current industry practice. They will actively maintain an awareness of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, automation and the Internet of Things (IoT), incorporating relevant developments into teaching.
This is a full time role but part-time would be considered for the right applicant.

The College offers both the ECT programme as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education through Brighton University and would support the successful candidate if required.
