Teacher of Drama - Crosby

Start Date: October 2026
Location: Crosby
Contract: Full Time (6-8 Weeks)
Salary: M1-M6

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Crosby to recruit a dedicated Teacher of Drama for a full-time position starting in October 2026, initially for 6-8 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Drama Teacher to join a supportive department and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver engaging Drama lessons and make a positive impact within a welcoming secondary school environment.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging, creative and well-planned Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire students to develop their confidence, creativity, communication and performance skills.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that encourage students to explore a range of dramatic techniques and performance styles.
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress to help maximise achievement.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where students feel confident to participate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
The successful Drama Teacher will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom management skills and excellent subject knowledge.
  • A passion for Drama and the ability to inspire and engage young people.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full 10-year career history.
  • A minimum of two professional references.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
