What You Need to Succeed

We are seeking to appoint a design and technology teacher, with experience in hospitality and catering, 3D design, and textiles, to join an established and effective team of specialists for a maternity cover.

The successful applicant will be keen to immerse themselves in this stimulating environment and be a creative and effective practitioner. They would be required to teach all design and technology areas across Key Stages three and four. A desire to build strong, effective relationships with students and staff to create a cohesive, inclusive and positive school environment is also sought.

The department has detailed, well resourced schemes of work for every key stage and well planned and structured lessons. Teachers regularly share ideas and work collaboratively to develop and improve these schemes of work and lessons to ensure high standards of teaching and learning. This role would suit an NQT or more experienced colleague.
