Salary Scale: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS)

Role OverviewThe successful Teacher of Design and Technology will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, enabling students to develop practical skills, creative thinking, and an understanding of the design process. They will inspire learners of all abilities and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating workshop environment where students can thrive.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teach practical and theoretical aspects of Design and Technology in line with the curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
- Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities while promoting health and safety standards
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching, learning, and student success
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Design and Technology within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering both practical and theory-based lessons
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- A passion for creative, technical, and vocational education with a commitment to student achievement
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
