Job Description

Teacher of Chemistry - Reference: SCCG3025 Closing Date: 27/04/2026 Interview Date: W/C 4th May 2026 Salary: £28,328 - £46,914 (incremental progression available).

Contract Type: Permanent Hours per Week: 1.0 FTE

Location: Salford City College Pendleton Sixth Form College, Dronfield Road, M6 7FR

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our highly successful and supportive science department. This full time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 / A-level Chemistry, working with a diverse and motivated cohort of learners.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Chemistry teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes.
  • Plan and deliver inclusive, well sequenced lessons that promote sustained progress.
  • Provide timely and developmental feedback to enhance learner achievement.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Chemistry teacher with strong subject knowledge.
  • Experience teaching post-16 learners (ideal).
  • Passionate about supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds and committed to inclusive teaching.
  • Maintain high expectations for all learners.
