Are you a passionate teacher looking to make a real difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? A specialist SEN school in the L32 area is looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026. The school supports pupils from Early Years through to Year 11 with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, SLD and PMLD. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where you'll have the chance to make a genuine impact on pupils' learning, development and independence.
The Role- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet pupils' individual needs and EHCP outcomes
- Teach classes across Early Years to Year 11, depending on experience and school requirements
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor progress, assess learning and adapt teaching to support positive outcomes
- Support pupils' communication, social development and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, the SENCO and parents to provide consistent support
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain high safeguarding standards
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience working with pupils with SEND, or a strong interest in specialist education
- Can adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
- Are patient, resilient and committed to inclusive education
- Have strong communication and classroom management skills
- Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
