The Chanel Fashion Information Systems Department is a strategic partner in excellence and value creation. It aims to support daily activities and evolve the fashion segment's market positioning through high-performance, innovative information systems that meet:

  • Service quality and efficiency requirements, reflecting our products' excellence and ultimate luxury customer experience;

  • The rapid pace of collections (10 per year).

Teams must demonstrate responsiveness, agility, pragmatism, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of business challenges to support our unique operational model.

Your missions and activities

As Director of Architecture and Integration, reporting to the Domain Tech Engineering Manager and working closely with other Domain Managers (e.g., PMO, DevOps SRE, Software Factory), your responsibilities include:

1. Defining and managing enterprise architecture

  • Designing and maintaining the overall information system blueprint ensuring functional and technical coherence.
  • Developing and evolving architecture repositories (application mapping, processes, flows, etc.).
  • Defining and promoting architecture standards, methods, and best practices across the Fashion Division.
  • Ensuring architectural consistency across all IT projects.
  • Leading the Enterprise Architecture Council to align initiatives with the blueprint and standards.

2. Designing and governing Cloud, system, and infrastructure architectures

  • Designing, documenting, and maintaining Cloud (private, public, hybrid) and system architectures.
  • Ensuring security, performance, and resilience by design.
  • Leading infrastructure transformation and modernization towards Cloud and new technological paradigms.
  • Evaluating and integrating emerging technological solutions.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and Software Factory teams for environment automation and industrialization.

3. Overseeing application integration and API management

  • Leading development and maintenance of enterprise application integrations.
  • Governing and securing integration services and APIs.
  • Ensuring data flow robustness and scalability between applications.
  • Managing the integration roadmap aligned with business and technological needs.
  • Supporting project teams in designing modular, decoupled architectures.
  • 4. Knowledge capitalization and documentation

    • Implementing and enhancing technical, functional, and architectural documentation.
    • Defining knowledge sharing and documentation processes within the IT department.
    • Fostering a documentation culture and technological watch.
    • Ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development in architecture and integration topics.

    5. Strategic skills development and team management

    • Identifying and developing key competencies for IT evolution and digital transformation.
    • Defining technology roadmaps for emerging and innovative topics (AI, Machine Learning, Web3, AR/VR, etc.).
    • Leading and mentoring talents through continuous training and agile practices.
    • Fostering cross-functional collaboration with other technical and business units.

    1. Experience and background

    • Minimum 15 years' proven experience in enterprise architecture, system integration, and digital transformation, preferably in complex international or multi-brand environments.
    • Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and strategic projects with high business impact.
    • Successful experience in cloud migration and modernization projects and innovative solutions integration.
    • Deep understanding of retail, luxury, or e-commerce IT environments, with strong knowledge of business challenges, data, and customer experience.
    • Strong interest in innovation, digital transformation, and change management within demanding organizations.

    2. Technical and methodological skills

    • Expertise in enterprise architecture, application mapping, urbanization, and process modeling.
    • Mastery of Cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid infrastructures, security, performance, and resilience issues.
    • Extensive experience in system integration (API Management, ESB, ETL, scheduling) and application interoperability.
    • Proven governance skills in data, flows, and quality management across multi-application contexts.
    • Active technological watch and deep understanding of emerging technologies.

    3. Interpersonal and managerial qualities

    • Natural leadership, ability to inspire and unify technical and business teams around a comprehensive architecture vision.
    • Strong transversal communication skills and ability to facilitate governance committees, adapting language to audience.
    • Pedagogical skills, ability to transfer knowledge, support skill development, and promote documentation and technological watch culture.
    • Change management skills in environments undergoing profound transformation.
    • Collaborative spirit, open-mindedness, and ability to work synergistically with other technical and business units.
