Location: UK Wide (Hybrid & Flexible Working)
Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits (dependent on level)
Car Allowance: £4,500 (Manager level)
Bonus: 5-10%

Here at Akkodis, we're delighted to be partnering with a Big 4 Consultancy that is continuing to invest heavily in its rapidly expanding Tax Technology Practice. With significant growth plans already underway and multiple successful hires made across the team, they are looking for ambitious professionals at Assistant Manager, Manager, and Senior Manager level to join their growing function.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of tax, technology, and transformation, helping some of the world's most recognisable organisations navigate complex regulatory requirements while modernising their finance and ERP landscapes.
You'll be joining a high-performing team delivering large-scale transformation programmes across ERP implementations, tax engines, e-invoicing solutions, and indirect tax technology initiatives. Working directly with senior client stakeholders, you'll play a key role in shaping tax operating models, driving automation, and delivering innovative solutions that create real business value.
About the Role
As a Tax Technology Consultant, you'll work across a broad range of technology-enabled tax transformation projects, supporting clients as they design, implement, and optimise solutions within complex ERP and finance environments.
Whether your background is in Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or tax engine technologies such as Vertex or Avalara, you'll have the opportunity to work on business-critical programmes that are redefining how organisations manage tax compliance and reporting in an increasingly digital world.
From solution design and implementation through to strategic advisory and client engagement, you'll be at the centre of delivering transformational change.
The Impact You'll Make
Tax Technology & ERP Transformation
- Deliver and support large-scale Tax Technology and ERP transformation programmes.
- Design and implement tax processes within ERP platforms including Workday, Dynamics 365, SAP, and Oracle.
- Support complex tax operating model transformations for global organisations.
- Drive automation and efficiency across tax compliance and reporting processes.
Client Advisory & Consulting
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business and regulatory requirements.
- Lead workshops and translate complex tax requirements into practical technology solutions.
- Provide strategic advice on tax technology, process optimisation, and digital transformation.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and project teams.
Technology Delivery
- Support end-to-end project delivery including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and optimisation.
- Implement and enhance tax engines, reporting solutions, and compliance tools.
- Contribute to e-invoicing and digital tax compliance initiatives.
- Ensure solutions align with both business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Practice Growth
- Coach and support junior team members.
- Lead workstreams and project delivery activities.
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client presentations.
- Help shape the future direction of a rapidly growing Tax Technology practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Experience working within Tax Technology, Tax Transformation, or ERP implementation environments.
- Strong understanding of how tax processes integrate with ERP and finance systems.
- Experience working with one or more of the following:
- Workday
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- SAP
- Oracle
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing skills.
- Experience delivering transformation, implementation, or change programmes.
Highly Desirable
- ERP Tax experience
- E-Invoicing experience with ERP.
- Tax engine implementation experience, including:
- Vertex
- Avalara
- Consulting or professional services background.
- Experience leading teams, projects, or workstreams.
Personal Attributes
- Commercially minded and client-focused.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for technology-enabled transformation and continuous improvement.
