Purpose of the Role
As a Group Tax Manager, you are responsible for Tax Reporting and Tax Planning and will also be involved in tax accounting, transfer pricing and tax control framework. The role focuses on direct tax, however, is a generalist tax role overseeing all tax aspects BME is facing on a day-to-day basis.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage filing of the corporate income tax return of the Dutch fiscal unity. Identify and implement opportunities to optimize the NL tax position.
- Manage compliance status of all BME Operating Companies (OpCo's) in the group and prepare filing obligations, including Pillar II and CbCr reporting.
- Leading and managing projects related to the restructuring of legal entities, to optimizing tax efficiency, to regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness. This includes planning and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate restructuring activities
- Support in tax audits and dispute resolution.
- Maintaining contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation
- Monitoring the Tax Control Framework and proposing C implementing changes where necessary/desirable.
- Preparation of the quarterly and annual corporate tax position in the IFRS accounts, including maintenance and further improvement of group-wide tax reporting processes.
- Monitoring tax risk provisions and effective tax rate.
- Take care of cash tax reporting and automate cash tax reporting.
- Play a key role in tax technology matters and improving the usability of the consolidation and reporting system for tax reporting purposes; identifying and driving tax compliance process improvements.
- Maintain close working relationships with BME Operating companies finance departments and other stakeholders such Group Legal Counsel, HR departments.
- Being the first point of contact for (financial) auditors and tax consultants.
- Maintain relationship with Dutch tax authorities.
- Ensuring that the legal entity structure is up-to-date and accurately reflects the
organization's operational and ownership structure.

Education and Experience
- The ideal candidate has a Bachelor University degree, preferably in tax economics, with at least five years of relevant tax experience.
- Practical experience with tax compliance and tax reporting systems is considered a plus.
- Experience with Dutch tax compliance.
- Experience with Tagetik and Tagetik Tax Module is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Works well with deadlines and has the ability to prioritize.
- Has a structured and result-oriented approach.
- A pro-active team player.
- Good communicator and fluent in both Dutch and English.
This position is based at Schiphol, Amsterdam. We have a hybrid policy, three days a week on-site, two days home-office.
