A well-established and growing accountancy practice is looking to add an experienced Personal Tax Manager to its team.

This is a client-facing role working with a broad portfolio of HNW individuals, business owners, trusts and estates, with a good mix of compliance and advisory work.

The role

You'll take ownership of your own portfolio while working closely with senior members of the team on more complex tax matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of private clients, including HNW individuals, directors, business owners, trusts and estates
• Overseeing personal, trust and estate tax compliance
• Reviewing tax returns and supporting the delivery of work to a high standard
• Advising clients across areas including CGT, IHT, income tax and trusts
• Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities
• Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and other professional advisers
• Managing HMRC correspondence, enquiries and disclosures where required
• Supporting more senior colleagues with trust, estate and succession planning work
• Reviewing work and providing guidance to more junior members of the team
• Helping with workflow planning and the development of the wider team

What they're looking for

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification
• Strong UK practice experience within personal tax
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of private clients
• Good technical knowledge across personal tax, trusts and estates
• Experience working with HNW individuals and/or business owners
• Previous experience reviewing or supervising junior staff
• Strong communication and client management skills
