TAx Compliance Advisor

Our client, an established medium sized accountancy practice that has been providing advisory and compliance services for over 30 years. The firm supports a wide range of clients, including SMEs, sole traders, and larger organisations across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will join the Tax Department and take a lead role in managing income tax compliance and client advisory work. Flexible start and finish times are available.

Responsibilities

• Lead the income tax function, ensuring accurate and timely filing and payment of all returns.
• Provide guidance on tax obligations, identify issues, and recommend compliant solutions.
• Analyse records and previous filings to develop effective tax strategies and verify documentation accuracy.
• Handle correspondence with clients and tax authorities, gathering all required tax related information.
• Supervise trainees, review their work, and share relevant legislative updates.
• Contribute to wider Tax Department needs and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in a tax or accounting practice with strong knowledge of current tax legislation.
• Experience in Sage Taxpro, ROS, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience supervising or mentoring trainees, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement.

Salary / Benefits

• Annual Salary of €40,000-€45,000 DOE
