This role will ensure the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of IT Servers, Networks, Storage and IT Security in the corporate environment. It is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract based in our Dublin studio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritising problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Providing documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Ensuring regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Ensuring capacity, storage planning, and database performance is for purpose.
Key Requirements

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of IT operations best practice, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Strong knowledge in Server/Storage and network systems (essential).
  • Working knowledge of VMware virtualization (essential).
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols (essential).
  • Data protection and disaster recovery protocols (desirable).

Experience:

  • Strong working experience in server/network and storage systems.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • 3 5 years' experience in a Systems Administrator role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong skill sets of Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting such as PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of SAN storage systems.
  • Microsoft MCSE Core Infrastructure.
