A well-established manufacturing business in Mid Devon is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support a major finance systems implementation project and drive ongoing process improvements across the organisation.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and senior finance leadership team, you will play a key role in the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring the system delivers maximum value to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Work alongside finance and operational stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected within the system
Engage in system testing, including UAT and process validation
Identify and resolve issues throughout the implementation process
Provide support and training to end users where required
Act as a key finance systems contact during the go-live phase
Drive post-implementation optimisation, identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls and business processes
Support wider finance transformation and continuous improvement projects across the business

About You

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Previous experience in a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, Finance Transformation or Project Accountant role
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Proven track record of supporting ERP implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects
Experience of systems testing, process mapping and stakeholder engagement
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations and senior leadership teams
Manufacturing sector experience would be preferred
