System Engineer Offshore

We are currently supporting an engineering firm active in offshore energy solutions in their search for a System Engineer. In this full-time role, you will be involved in high-impact projects such as offshore substations and HVDC platforms, contributing directly to the future of sustainable offshore infrastructure.

As System Engineer, you'll be responsible for aligning technical disciplines, managing system integration, and ensuring the consistency of complex project designs. You act as a key point of contact between internal engineering teams, clients, and suppliers-combining technical knowledge with a structured and communicative approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and verify system requirements and specifications
• Coordinate technical interfaces across engineering disciplines
• Develop system architectures and functional diagrams
• Identify risks and drive system optimization
• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests
• Apply Systems Engineering methodology throughout project phases

Your Profile

You are a proactive and structured engineer with a passion for systems thinking. You bring:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Maritime, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in offshore, energy, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles (V-model, INCOSE, ISO 15288)
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
