System Engineer (DevOps/Platform Support)
Fully Remote EU - Working US Hours
6 Month Contract + Potential Extensions
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and technically strong System Engineer to join a fast-paced environment, bridging the gap between development and operations. You will play a key role in incident management, system optimization, automation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure platform stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Incident Management
- Monitor and respond to platform alerts based on priority
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues
- Collect and analyze logs from multiple systems
- Drive root cause analysis and coordinate resolution timelines
- Document issues, debugging records, and solutions in ticketing systems
Documentation & Process
- Maintain and enhance knowledge base documentation
- Create technical procedures and SOPs for new processes and features
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams
- Define escalation paths and ownership models
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear reports and insights
Technical Development
- Write scripts for automation, monitoring, and testing
- Improve and maintain internal tools and platforms
- Contribute to new feature development and system enhancements
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Experience with ticketing and monitoring systems
- Strong Scripting/programming capabilities
- System administration and troubleshooting expertise
- Infrastructure and system architecture knowledge
- Strong proficiency in MacOS and Linux
- Understanding of system security and performance best practices
