SWIFT Consultant - 9 months+ - NL

For a leading organization, we are looking for a SWIFT Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SASAG (Swift Software Alliance Gateway) and the SWIFT Alliance Suite. You will ensure a secure, stable, and high-performing SWIFT environment within a modern financial IT landscape.
You'll work closely with IT, security, and operations teams on a strategic migration towards a new internal SWIFT platform.

What you'll do

. Configure, manage, and optimize the SWIFT Alliance software suite
. Set up and maintain SASAG, new SWIFT routes, and existing connections
. Support both test and production environments, including incident, change, and problem management
. Analyze and resolve SWIFT-related issues
. Ensure compliance with security controls and risk management within the SWIFT ecosystem
. Collaborate with teams using Azure Boards, ServiceNow, and Confluence
. Contribute to a strategic SWIFT migration project (replacing a Legacy payments platform)

Knock-out criteria (must-have)

. Experience working in the financial sector, with exposure to banking environments being a plus.
. Hands-on experience with SASAG and the SWIFT Alliance applications
. Experience working within an ITIL environment (incident, change & problem management)
. Understanding of security risks in SWIFT environments
. Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Azure Boards, and Confluence

Nice to have

. Experience with migration or integration projects
. Background in complex, high-security enterprise environments
. Strong analytical skills with a proactive and communicative mindset
. Affinity with payments, transactions, or financial infrastructure

. Start: ASAP
. Duration: 9 months (extension possible)
. Hours: 36-40 per week
. Location: Amsterdam (hybrid: 1-2 days onsite)
. Type: Freelance/Interim
. Rate: Depending on experience
