Position:Freelance Swahili Interpreter
Location:Remote and Various locations in the U.K.

Responsibility
  • Provide accurate interpretationservices between Swahili and English
  • Assist in facilitatingeffective communication for Swahili-speaking individuals in a variety of settings,
    including healthcare, legal, educational, and social contexts
  • Maintain detailed records ofassignments and adhere to client-specific guidelines
  • Comply with our rigorous Code ofConduct
  • Furnish a precise, confidential,and unbiased interpreting service
  • Uphold the utmost quality byadhering to all interpreting standards
  • Provide exceptional customerservice
  • Demonstrate outstandingcommunication, language, and organisational abilities
  • Be punctual, dependable,confident, enthusiastic, and professional
  • Maintain impartiality andfairness, displaying courtesy towards clients and service users
  • Demonstrate a profoundunderstanding of the culture of both languages
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' Interpretingexperience
  • Community Interpreting Level3Certificate
  • DPSI
  • Any other qualifications relatedto Interpreting or Translation
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree inLanguages, Translation, Interpretation or Linguistics
  • Ph.D. or Doctoral in Linguistics
  • Certificate of Higher Educationin Translation, Interpretation, Languages, Philology or Linguistics
