The OpportunityWe are supporting an NHS Trust in the West Midlands with the appointment of a Locum Consultant in ENT to join an established service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Consultant to provide high-quality ENT care across both outpatient clinics and theatre activity, working closely with colleagues across the wider multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing Consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and management of ENT patients
- Conducting outpatient ENT clinics
- Undertaking theatre activity as required
- Providing senior clinical decision making and advice
- Managing a broad range of ENT presentations
- Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team
- Supporting and supervising junior medical staff where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Contributing to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities
- Ensuring a patient centred approach to care at all times
- GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Otolaryngology/ENT or relevant experience for a locum appointment
- Previous NHS Consultant-level experience in ENT
- Broad clinical experience across ENT
- Experience undertaking ENT outpatient clinics
- Appropriate theatre experience
- Strong clinical decision making and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and clinical governance
- Previous experience within a busy NHS ENT department
- Broad experience across adult ENT
- Experience across both outpatient clinics and theatre
- Teaching and supervision experience
- Experience contributing to audit, governance and quality improvement
- Start date from 21 September 2026
- Contract running through to 18 November 2026
- Consultant-level position within an established ENT service
- Monday-Friday working pattern,
