The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Consultant in ENT, Head & Neck to support services across the East Midlands.
This is a cross-site locum opportunity within a hospital setting, offering a fixed-term contract from 1 September 2026 to 1 December 2026. The role is ideal for experienced ENT consultants with relevant NHS experience who are confident delivering high-quality patient care across multiple sites.
You will work alongside established multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care within ENT and Head & Neck services.

- Deliver high-quality consultant-led care within ENT and Head & Neck services.
- Support elective and emergency ENT service delivery across both hospital sites.
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professional teams.
- Provide expert clinical decision-making and patient management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and service effectiveness.
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and support junior colleagues where required.
- Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
- Relevant Consultant-level experience in ENT and Head & Neck Surgery.
- Recent NHS experience within a similar role.
- Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK.

- Up-to-date CV.
- DBS certificate or DBS Update Service check.
- Minimum of two references covering the previous three years.
- Evidence of relevant NHS experience.
- Fit to Work report, including blood results.
- Mandatory training certificates (in date), including:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS).
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Levels 1 & 2.
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Children Levels 1 & 2.
- Infection Prevention and Control.
- Colour copy of a valid passport (and residence permit where applicable).

Additional Information Break PolicyLocum doctors are required to comply with Trust break policies:
- 30-minute break for every 6 hours worked.
- 1-hour break for every 12 hours worked.
Applicable breaks will be deducted in accordance with Trust policy.
TimesheetsAll timesheets must be signed by a substantive consultant. Timesheets signed by an incorrect signatory may be rejected.
Out of HoursOut-of-hours periods are defined as:
- Before 08:00 and after 16:00 Monday to Friday.
- All day Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays.
Doctors arriving out of hours must report to Site Management as required by the Trust.
