Designed by families, for families, The Ark was opened in September 2019 by the Mayor of London. The grounds offer wheelchair-accessible outdoor experiences, including a Woodland Walk through a 7-acre nature reserve, a hydrotherapy pool, and overnight suites for families to be close to their loved ones. At The Ark, we provide specialist care and nursing for babies, children, and young people, supporting their full clinical, emotional, social, and practical needs. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supporter Engagement Manager, working to specific income targets, is responsible for acquisition campaigns including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, and legacies; as well as retention campaigns focused on ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. You will grow relationships with supporters and collaborate with the wider fundraising team to develop and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys. A sound understanding of fundraising membership schemes, sector regulations, and best practices in CRM and fundraising databases is essential.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will work with the Senior Head of Supporter Engagement to develop strategies for increasing income across all individual giving streams and implement these strategies with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider team. You will play a key role in engaging supporters through high-value campaigns, events, and regular giving programs, including our annual matched-funding campaign and recurring giving programs, which last year raised £1m and £150k respectively. The role involves enhancing the Individual Giving program by providing proactive engagement opportunities and utilizing data to deliver timely, targeted, and engaging communications to supporters.
