Role OverviewAs a Support Engineer on the Core Device OS team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical OS components, pipelines, services, tools, and application development frameworks, working on projects that enhance customer-device interaction. This role requires quick learning, adaptability, and handling multiple overlapping tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level support for Jiras, tickets, and operational issues from production services.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of incoming Jiras and tickets across multiple product lines.
- Work on maintenance-driven coding projects, primarily in AWS, CDK, and basics of C++.
- Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure.
- Develop tools and automate manual operational tasks for easier maintenance.
- Build monitoring dashboards and report system health and support metrics.
- Collaborate with remote development teams to hand off or take over active support issues and contribute to a team knowledge base.
- Create and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Debug and fix issues.
- Deploy features in the cloud.
- Develop tooling and CDK scripts.
- Participate in on-call support.
- 2+ years of software development or technical support experience.
- Experience working with Unix systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development.
- Experience with hardware and software RAID maintenance.
- Familiarity with REST web services, XML, and JSON.
