Hays Education is working with a number of primary schools across Gravesend that are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teachers to join their teams.Whether you're an Early Career Teacher looking to further develop your Key Stage 1 experience or an experienced practitioner seeking a new challenge, we have a variety of opportunities available across welcoming and supportive school settings.

The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils as they transition from Reception into Key Stage 1. You'll help children build confidence, independence and essential literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring they have the strongest possible foundation for future learning.You'll create engaging lessons, foster a nurturing classroom environment and support pupils as they develop academically, socially and emotionally during this important stage of their education.Opportunities are available on both a long-term and flexible supply basis.

We're Looking for Teachers Who:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or are working towards it

• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• Can deliver engaging and creative lessons that inspire young learners
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Are committed to supporting pupil progress and development
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Bring enthusiasm, patience and a passion for primary education
