Supply Chain Specialist (Supply Chain Management)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within BDUK Supply Chain's Fixed Wing Operations team, to support the UK E-7 Programme. This position will act as an Asset Manager during Initial Provisioning activity, overseeing a consistent and reliable delivery plan or supporting the Flight Test operations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely procurement requisition creation in SAP to meet urgent requirements.
  • Oversee the burndown of pre determined spares requirements ensuring stock availability on site.
  • Conduct risk, issue and opportunity management.
  • Maintain a record of demands and situations that arise to help with future demand planning.
  • Support demand planning in line with maintenance activities.
  • Provide strategic and transactional support to the purchase of goods and services.
  • Manage stock shortages and spares demands with stakeholders, suggesting risk mitigation strategies and working with Boeing stakeholders to avoid operational impacts.
  • Manage relevant systems to ensure order status and stock levels are aligned.
  • Clear and manage material discrepancies and quarantine issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Provide resolution of spares inabilities through to satisfaction, providing forecast availability dates to the customer and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
  • Identify supply chain alternatives to resolve emergent issues.
  • Support programme reporting on KPI performance, order execution and financial performance.
Qualifications
  • Basic Qualifications: Active UK driving licence; Ability to acquire UK SC security clearance.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience: Knowledge of supply chain operations, asset management, warehousing and logistics, and associated best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of MRO and ERP based systems.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, organisational and collaboration skills across internal and external teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities.
