Responsible for coordinating anddeveloping a group of suppliers to successfully meet the quality, cost and deliveryrequirements for the Company and ensure accuracy, efficiency and consistency toachieve best in class operations.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Ensureboat materials/services are purchased in line with business requirements andauthorised Company processes at the lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Bethe business focal point and subject expert for given commodities.
  • Developcommodity strategies for critical supply commodities by:
- Understanding the category and whatthe risks cost drivers are and identify opportunities within the category.

- Driving cost reduction andestablish the best purchase prices for the commodities.

- Ensuring that the quality ofproduct purchased meets the exacting standards of Oyster Yachts

  • Buildand maintain strong vendor relationships, fostering partnerships that drivelong-term value and innovation.
  • Firstline responsibility for the commercial relationship with the supplier group,ensuring commercial agreements are in place with strategic and preferred supplypartners.
  • Firstline responsibility for the performance management of the supplier group toensure quality and delivery expectations are being met, with quality functionsupport.
  • Workwith the supplier group / wider business to identify opportunities forimprovements, reductions in cost, process efficiencies, specification updatesand innovations.
  • Identifyrisk profiles and support risk mitigation activities and recovery planningwhere required and communicate with interested parties.
  • Supportmarket benchmarking / make versus buy activities.
  • Provisionof management reports, KPI's and detailed data views to provide insight and supportdecision making.
  • Supportoperations improvement projects across the group working closely with SupplyChain counterparts and other stakeholders.
Requirements

Knowledge

Workingknowledge of supply chain/procurement processes.

Knowledgeof marine industry desirable not essential.

Understandingof yacht production and associated materials and parts, desirable.

Skills

Competentuser of Microsoft Office, in particular Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Strongrelationship builder.

Strongcommunication skills both telephone, email and face to face.

Planningand organising skills.

Stronganalytical skills and able to manipulate data sets and present in table/chartform.

Experience

Workedwithin purchasing in the marine industry or manufacturing.

Comprehensiveexperience/user of an ERP or similar.

Experiencein a purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management role.

Experienceof negotiations with suppliers.

Supplierrelationship management.

Qualifications

CIPSqualification or working towards but not essential.

Drivinglicense, desirable.
