About the Role

We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to join our operations team for a 12-week internship starting in April/May 2026. This is a hands-on role where you will support the end-to-end movement of agricultural commodities from origin to destination: covering procurement coordination, shipping logistics, trade documentation, and stakeholder communication.

You'll work closely with the operations and sales teams to keep shipments on track, documentation accurate, and stakeholders informed. This is an ideal opportunity for university students who want real-world supply chain experience in international trade.

What You'll Do
  • Partner onboarding: Assist with vetting and onboarding new supply chain partners including production and logistics partners.
  • Shipment coordination: Support the planning and tracking of commodity shipments from supplier to buyer, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
  • Trade documentation: Help prepare and review key trade documents including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and phytosanitary certificates.
  • Supplier communication: Assist with day-to-day communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners across Africa and Europe.
  • Procurement support: Help source and evaluate suppliers, request quotes, and compare pricing and terms for agricultural commodities.
  • CRM and data management: Maintain accurate records in HubSpot CRM, Airtable, update shipment statuses, and track key supply chain metrics.
  • Logistics research: Research shipping routes, freight rates, port conditions, and customs requirements for Kodgav's key trade corridors.
  • Quality and compliance: Support our operations and sales team during compliance.
  • Bi-weekly in-person sessions: Attend 1-2 in-person team sessions per month in London (North Greenwich area) for training, collaboration, and team building.
What You'll Learn
  • How international commodity supply chains work end-to-end from farm to buyer
  • Trade documentation and compliance for cross-border agricultural shipments
  • Logistics planning: shipping routes, Incoterms, freight forwarding, and customs clearance
  • Procurement and supplier management in emerging markets (East, West and North Africa)
  • CRM and operational tools: HubSpot, Airtable, logistics platforms, and AI-assisted workflows
  • Agrifood industry: market dynamics, pricing, quality standards, and seasonality
  • Stakeholder communication across cultures, time zones, and supply chain stages
Who You Are
  • We're looking for curious, organised, and proactive students who want to learn how global supply chains work.
  • Currently enrolled at a UK university (second year undergraduate to master's level)
  • Studying a relevant field: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business, Operations, Agribusiness, or Economics
  • Priority given to students at University of Greenwich, UCL, UEL, Goldsmith, and Imperial College but all London-based universities welcome
