Supply Chain Assistant Merchandiser

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supply Chain Assistant Merchandiser to join our Bookings Team based at the Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool. This is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed term basis.
As an Assistant Supply Chain Merchandiser, you would be reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Merchandiser. You will be responsible for analysing and scheduling the palletised inbound into our distribution network. To be successful, you should have strong analytical and verbal communication skills, with a good diligence to detail.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual in a similar role, or an Assistant Merchandiser looking to progress and develop their skills within a fast-paced supply chain team, with strong links and exposure to a buying office environment.
Key accountabilities for this role:- Analysis of stock levels to allocate delivery slots for suppliers to meet
- Consulting with suppliers and drivers, by phone and by e-mail
- Booking deliveries onto TOREX system
- Notifying suppliers of their assigned deliveries
- Resolving queries/requests from suppliers/hauliers
- General office support as and when required
- Experience in a similar role (the ability to interpret stock cover levels and sales trends is desirable but not essential)
- An analytical mind set
- Good Microsoft Excel knowledge is preferable although not essential (training can be given)
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work at speed with excellent time management
