Supplies Officer

Band 3 £28,011 to £30,230 pro rata

Plus £1,406 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata

22 Hours per week

An opportunity has arisen in the Procurement team at Western Isles hospital due to a retirement.

We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual to take on the role of 1 of 4 supplies officers within the department - Initially for a 12 month period to cover retirement.

The role is extremely varied and will cover both office administration, warehouse duties and ward supplies. As the department also covers elements of transport & logistics you may also be required to assist with some basic aspects of fleet administration and maintenance.

Almost all our systems are electronic so you will need to be comfortable working at a computer. You will need some office administration experience, drivers licence, and a willingness and ability to engage in physical work such as picking and delivering orders, handling deliveries and cleaning and basic maintenance of vehicles.

As from 1/4/2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis.
