About you

You will be a confident, experienced procurement professional with a background in managing strategically important supplier relationships and contracts. You will have applied procurement and contract legal knowledge in the delivery of contract performance, savings and cost avoidance across different categories. You will have established productive relationships with contract managers, senior stakeholders and suppliers to successfully reach outcomes that are achievable and broadly acceptable to all parties.

You will have line managed staff, providing leadership, support and development to maximise the effectiveness of your team and contribute to wider organisation objectives. You will be an effective communicator with experience of developing and delivering complex reports into senior management with the ability to verbally present and deal with any questions arising.

You will be required to train, mentor and develop others on best practice contract management and supplier relationship management, ensuring that attendees leave with the confidence to manage local contract relationships effectively.

Ideally, you will be working towards or already hold membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or otherwise demonstrate equivalent professional knowledge and experience.
