Job Description

Role Overview

  • Role Title: Supplier Quality Engineer/Consultant (German-Speaking Lead Auditor)

A global medical-device organisation is seeking an experienced German-speaking Supplier Quality Engineer with Certified Lead Auditor status to drive critical Supplier Quality operations and support post-acquisition M&A Quality integration. Focusing primarily on the German supplier base, you will manage audits, resolve quality issues, and ensure seamless regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier audits and comprehensive quality assessments across Germany.

  • Support QMS and Supplier Quality integration following recent acquisitions.

  • Manage supplier CAPAs, non-conformances, and drive remediation activities to closure.

  • Assess supplier qualification, risk, performance, and overall quality systems.

  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and international stakeholders.

  • Provide onsite support in Switzerland alongside regular supplier visits across Germany.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Background: Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related discipline.

  • Technical Experience: Strong background in polymers/chemical materials, ideally within implantable medical devices or other highly regulated industries.

  • Auditing: Certified Lead Auditor status (ISO 13485 strongly preferred).

  • Languages: Fluent in both German and English (mandatory).
