As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our customers on every visit with Partner-led service and passion for food. Your drive to go the extra mile helps build trust and loyalty to the Waitrose brand. Night premium applies for time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 (£3.75 per hour), including existing Partners on Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. Applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.
Responsibilities- Stock replenishment - keep shelves full and ensure products are in the right place for customers.
- Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
- Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and applying markdowns to items nearing their sell-by dates.
- Collaborate with the wider shop team to support operations, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, fulfilling on-demand orders, and more.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
- Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
- Experience in a customer-facing role is welcome.
- Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
- Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
Pay: £13.00 (£13.25 after 90 days)
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours of Work: 31.25 hours - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 17:00-23:45
