Every year we recruit over 350 people for our Back to School Summer period. BTS is the single most important trading period for Monkhouse, servicing its customers with the best people and best products to ensure children are ready to go back to school in the new academic year.
Our Customer Service team plays a crucial part in ensuring we deliver on our single most important promise - Service is Everything!
As a Customer Service Advisor, you are an integral part of our Customer Services team and will help us to support customers and uphold a great level of service!
Day-to-day, you will help us to answer inbound telephone calls, process orders, answer queries, and problem solve customer complaints.
Responsibilities- Action inbound orders, queries, and complaints via telephone & email.
- Be the first-in-line to receive queries and orders from customers via telephone & email
- Discuss customers' order requirements and seek opportunities to cross-sell products.
- Conduct office based administrative duties.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers and a great telephone manner.
- Be able to demonstrate planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload with flexibility.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Work using your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Work calmly under pressure.
- Be able to handle complaints.
Our contracts range from 20 hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week (including the August bank holiday and optional overtime when needed) and our seasonal shifts are Monday to Friday.
Start DateOur peak season starts from June through to mid-September so you can start anytime from June onwards, finishing beginning/mid-September.
LocationWe are located in Altrincham with good public transport links.
HolidaysYour holiday entitlement is pro rated to your hours of work and pro rated to your term of employment. These accrued hours will be paid at the end of your contract.
Environmental Responsibilities- Switch off lights when the space is not being used.
- Switch off computers at the end of every day.
- If possible, avoid bringing in one use plastic water bottles.
- Only fill the kettle for the number of cups of hot drinks you make.
- Dispose of waste responsibly by using our recycling processes.
