We're Hiring: Subject Matter Expert - Infrastructure (IBM WebSphere/Liberty)

Location: Brussels (Hybrid - 50% onsite)

Start Date: 1 July 2025 End Date: 30 June 2026

Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Subject Matter Expert in IBM WebSphere ND and Liberty to manage and modernize a large-scale infrastructure. You will oversee the transition from legacy WebSphere to IBM Liberty on a private cloud, contributing to key IT production services within a complex banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support WebSphere ND legacy infrastructure operations

• Drive the transition to IBM Liberty cloud architecture

• Coordinate with internal teams, service providers, and global stakeholders

• Build and maintain environments, pipelines, and automation tools

• Ensure robust monitoring, compliance, and performance of Java-based applications

• Work within an Agile/Scrum team across Belgian and French locations

• Participate in occasional travel and off-business-hours support

Technical Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience managing IBM WebSphere ND and Liberty (Core/Base)

• Strong knowledge of Apache Tomcat, Java apps, TLS/SSL

• Proficient in Red Hat Linux, scripting, and networking fundamentals

• Experience monitoring JVM performance

• Familiar with ITIL, Agile, CI/CD, Security, and Disaster Recovery processes

• Bonus: Experience with Terraform, Ansible Tower, Java, CaaS, ServiceNow
