Salary: £24,570 per annum
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of services and processes, consistently providing an excellent student experience. This will require excellent people skills and a good level of administrative ability. The post holder will provide first-level support and referrals to specialist services as required and establish a programme of activities to help students develop skills and confidence outside the classroom.
ABOUT THE ROLE- Ensure effective case management of all welfare concerns and LDHD students, creating and maintaining accurate records in the student information management system in line with GDPR requirements.
- Ensure the safeguarding of students in line with Study Group policy and procedure and act as the first point of contact for any staff concerns about student safety or wellbeing.
- Provide 1:1 welfare and pastoral support to students, referring them for additional support from external services when needed.
- Create and monitor Support Plans for students.
- Coordinate support for students under 18, ensuring their safety and daily accountability.
- Work closely with colleagues to identify and support students with additional needs due to health or SEND.
- Coordinate the student Health Registration process in collaboration with local GP practices to ensure all students are registered on the NHS system and assist students in accessing healthcare services.
- Assist in planning and implementing an annual schedule of welfare events and promotional activities, including delivery in personal tutor sessions and liaising with external agencies to promote health and wellbeing.
- Assist students with completing Mitigating Circumstances Forms and attend related meetings.
- Support membership of the Student Staff Liaison Committee and attend meetings.
- Handle out-of-office hours welfare issues when required, in exchange for time in lieu.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Safeguarding training or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting students in an educational context.
- Experience organizing trips and visits, including risk assessments.
- Experience creating engaging content and delivering workshops.
- Experience working collaboratively with external partners to facilitate activities and engagement.
- Experience facilitating the 'student voice' and using effective feedback mechanisms.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Experience in customer service.
